The Dealey Family c. 1890, Texas

The Dealey family immigrated to the United States from England in 1870. They arrived in Galveston, Texas on the ship the "Bark Herbert" on 20 August 1870.

Samuel David Dealey (1867 - 1912)

There were 10 children in all. The firstborn, George William Dealey was born in 1851 and died in 1852. Frances Mary Dealey, was born 1866 and died 1871.

One of the women above would be Jennie Howard, wife of Thomas Dealey as they married in 1877. Another would be Olivia Allen, wife of George Bannerman Dealey who were married in 1884.

James Quayle Dealey married Clara Learned in 1890 however, I don't recgonize my great grandmother in the photo above. Samuel Dealey married Virgie Downing in 1894 so if the photo is late enough perhaps she is included in the photo. That leaves at least one young woman completely unaccounted for!
